First Church of Christ the Savior
Christ the Saviour Cathedral was built in honor of God, as a monument to the courage and bravery of the Russian people against Napoleon in 1812.
December 25, 1812, after the last soldier of the army, the Emperor Alexander I signed a manifesto on the construction of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior.
The idea of memorial church belongs to the Russian Army General Mikhail Ardalionovitch Kikin.
